PCHA 100-Hour Certification Course
Four-Weekend Accelerated Program
The entire 100 hours of training and the exam are live, instructor-led via Zoom. The cost, including the exam, is $1,350.

You must have access to a camera, microphone, and speakers to participate in class.

Tests can only be taken on a laptop, desktop, or iPad. Taking the test on a smartphone is not permitted.

Nursing Home Administrators with a current, active license may take the test without completing the 100-hour course for a fee of $225. Register for test only.

Personal Care Home Administrators and Assisted Living Administrators may take any of the individual classes to satisfy yearly continuing education (CE) requirements. Contact us for information and pricing
We offer an accelerated weekend course. You must complete all required modules within the day/time option you chose. Students are expected to obtain their First Aid, CPR, and obstructed airway training at their workplace or from an approved provider such as the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. To receive your certificate, the entire 100 hours must be completed, and proof of current CPR/AED certification must be provided. If you miss a class and have to schedule a make-up session you may incur an additional fee.
In order to work as a Personal Care Home Administrator in Pennsylvania, you must complete the 100-hour program, pass the test, and attend a one-day Department of Human Services (DHS) Orientation. There is no fee for this DHS orientation. See DHS orientation schedule.
Anyone may take this 100-hour course but to work as a Personal Care Home Administrator (PCHA) in Pennsylvania, you must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- An associate degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university.

- A license as a registered nurse from the Pennsylvania Department of State.
​​
- A license as a licensed practical nurse from the Pennsylvania Department of State and one year of experience in a related field.

- A license as a nursing home administrator from the Pennsylvania Department of State.
​​
- For a home serving eight or fewer residents, a general education development diploma or high school diploma and two years of direct care or administrative experience in the human services field.

You are expected to be in front of a computer with your camera on while attending the entire class. Please, no driving or doing rounds while participating. If you are observed driving or doing rounds, you will be dismissed from the class and will have to make up that module. You may not miss more than 20 minutes of any module; if you do so, you will have to repeat that module and pay the $150 penalty fee.
